Generally continuing education for the Florida contractor will benefit the business, workers and this will improve the product for the end user – the people who live and work in the structures throughout the State of Florida. The legislature encourages construction contractors and their employees to continually improve their skills. The business owners should be willing to also encourage continuing education in order to sustain a highly skilled and specialized workforce. This workforce will have the skills to perform a variety of tasks for the construction business. The employees of this business will become more valuable employees by enrolling in contractor continuing education programs.
Continuing education for the construction industry is available in trade/industry groups, high schools, community colleges, universities as well as small businesses that focus on contractor continuing education. Most of these courses are offered by small business in a two day live seminar course (or a one very long day) and now with the internet these courses are offered online. The online courses are available to the participant seven days a week, 24 hours a day – making this the most convenient choice for many individuals. This allows the Florida contractor to improve their skills whenever convenient, at the office or at home. This eliminates the need to travel or commute to the hotel or venue where the continuing education class is being offered. This saves money for fuel, restaurants and in some cases the cost of lodging. The online continuing education courses offer text, audio and visual instruction to the class participants.
